History of the Rahway Valley Railroad

History of the Rahway Valley Railroad
By Richard J. King (c) 2013

The Rahway Valley Railroad measured just 15.28 miles long but what it lacked in length it made up for in character. This little railroad was in operation for almost a century and in that time a wonderful story was written: a story of colorful characters, Hollywood actors, and New York bankers, a story of golf courses and daily battles with a state highway, a story of a railroad, our railroad, an American story as American as Apple Pie itself.

I have researched the Rahway Valley Railroad for several years and presented here is, I believe, the most complete and accurate story of "our railroad" published to date. I sincerely hope you enjoy it.

All the Best,
Richie King
