Bernie Cahill, 78, of Ocean Springs, passed away on
January 10, 2007 at his home. Mr. Cahill had been a resident of the coastal
community for 20 years. He was a member of Crossroads Nazarene
Church, the Rotary Club, Police Justice of Hammondsport, NY for 6
years, president of Kenilworth Manufacturing Association of New
Jersey, president of several shortline railroads, a Free Mason and
golfer. Mr. Cahill was preceded in death by his sisters,
Helena Dixon and Rita Briglin and his parents, John and Margaret
Cahill. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruth Cahill;
his daughter, Jacqueline (Raymond) Spencer of Hammondsport, NY; his
son, William (Jean) Cahill of Ocean Springs and grandchildren,
Angela and Robert Spencer of Ithaca, NY. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00
p.m., with a 2:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, January 13,
2007 at the Crossroads Nazarene Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be
made to the Crossroads Nazarene Church, 6150 Firestone St., Gautier,
MS, 39553. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral
Homes is in charge of
arrangements.
