POTB's bovine-painted 101 and leased OmniTRAX 201, a former California Northern SD-9, glide through Barview on a crystal clear, picture perfect morning. The date is Sept. 7, 1999, and conditions couldn't be better. While biding our time waiting for the train, my family and I picked wild blackberries from the bushes in the foreground.
