With its horn blaring, the POTB's hill freight passes through Timber, OR with much fanfare. Once the site of a roundhouse, motel, steam servicing facility and water plug, and two connecting logging railroads, now only this stately wig-wag signal, and the roundhouse foundation serve as reminders of the town's former glory. Consist is POTB's 4406, along with leased Omni-TRAX SD-9's 200 and 201. Photo by Jody Moore. May 12, 1999.
