* - It should be noted that the Union Station Products are Craftsman-level kits.  Some clean-up of parts and assembly is required, and care must be exercised when assembling these sides because of the delicate parts.

Note 1:  Sleeper cars of both the ACL and SAL carried names.  The following is a list of names used for various series of sleepers, indexed by SCL numbers:

Note 2:  These former C&O sleepers operated under S.C.L. in C&O paint with SCL heralds and a silver nameplate being mounted to the letterboard area.  Photos of Mt. Vernon displaying this paint scheme can be seen by clicking the following links:
SCL Mount Vernon - aisle side            SCL Mount Vernon - bedroom side

These cars carried the following names on both the C&O and SCL:
Greenbrier Homestead Monticello Mount Vernon Natural Bridge

Note 3:  Two series of ACL sleepers can not be accounted for in the renumbering to SCL, the Island-series and the -series (ex-NYC) cars.  For the names of those series please see the ACL listings.

Note 4:  All ACL dining cars were identified by their names, with numbers only being assigned after the creation of SCL.  Below is a listing of car names used on these cars and the SCL number assigned to these cars (Cordele wrecked and scrapped in 1957):
      5950 Atlanta   5952 LeGrange   5955 Talladega   5958 Tarboro
      5951 Birmingham   5953 Greenville   5956 Plant City   5961 Naples
      - - - - Cordele   5954 Moultrie   5957 Fitzgerald

Note 5:  In addition to the USP car sides you will also need some way of creating the roof mounded windows.  If you have a suggestion about how to do these, please email me using the link above.

Note 6:  The SAL's PS 10-6 sleepers were unique among the many that were built, as they were built with Budd-styled roofs to better match the various Budd-built cars that had already been rostered (a set of A.C.F.-built 10-6 sleepers also featured matching corrugation on not only the roof but on the letterboard area also).  It is left up to the modeler to determine if such would be used and how to add such a detail.  If you have a suggestion about how to do this, please email me using the link above.  These cars were renumbered for SCL 6610 - 6614, 6617 - 6620, 6623, 6625, 6626.

Note 7: The L.H. and U.S.P. sides require the use of either the U.S.P. P.S. corrugation or the M.&R. Texas Special EMD E7A corrugation, which needs to be placed below the window, for these sides to be accurate.
