* - It should be noted that the Union Station Products are Craftsman-level kits.  Some clean-up of parts and assembly is required, and care must be exercised when assembling these sides because of the delicate parts.

    Note 2:  While both Kato and Concor offer models of the Budd Slumbercoach the Kato model represents a Burlington Route car with full length skirting, while the Concor model represents a car with the cut-outs in the skirting for the trucks, which would be appropriate for modeling a NYC cars.

    Note 3:  These cars originally were built as 6 DBR - buffet lounge and retained this configuration after being R# as parlor - buffet lounge car, at which time they also lost their names.

    Note 4:  10615, 10609 Rblt. to bar - 3 D.R. (2 DBR converted to 1 D.R. with table and 4 chairs) and R# 1598 and 1597.

    Note 5:  M497 was involved in high speed tests with jet engines mounted to the roof and a false cab front.  After the tests it was returned to its original configuration.

    Note 6:  These cars were unique in having the corrugation on the lower sides and full 20th Century paint above the corrugation, with a light gray window stripe and dark gray above and below the window section, trimmed in white.
