* - It should be noted that the Union Station Products are Craftsman-level kits.  Some clean-up of parts and assembly is required, and care must be exercised when assembling these sides because of the delicate parts.

    Note 2:  These cars were originally built for the Union Pacific's City of Los Angeles and City of San Francisco trains.  When the ownership of the trains were divided among the participating lines (UP/SP/C&NW) in 1947, these cars were transferred to the C&NW.  Some cars were renamed as noted, either before or after they were transferred to the C&NW.

    Note 3:  These cars were built as a part of larger UP orders and until 1956 carried UP paint with C&NW lettering.  After UP shifted all Overland Route trains to the Milwaukee Road, these cars were repainted in C&NW yellow and green.

    Note 4:  The following sleeper cars saw service on the Illinois Central by Pullman after UP shifted the Overland Route trains to the MILW.  These car received IC orange and chocolate brown paint "Pullman" lettering with small "C&NW" at the ends of the letterboard and with yellow trim.  All were returned to the C&NW and retired by 1964:
