PASSENGER CAR PHOTO INDEX - CLEVELAND TERMINAL & VALLEY RWY. to TRINITY RAIL
UPDATED WITH 96 NEW LINKS.
I cannot promise you that all links will remain working since I have no control over this. I will say, though, that if a link isn't working I will see about it (and if possible, report it to the owner of the site) and if necessary, remove it from future updates (regretably there have been a few significant sites lost recently so some photo links have been removed). To email me about a "broken" link just CLICK HERE.
If you are looking for information and/or photos of Vista Dome cars the single best source for on the web for this is the Web Lurker's DOMEmain site. Because of the extensive collection of images on that site I have not made an effort to catalog it but if you would like to visit just click on the dome car drawing below.
I also recommend that you visit the Jody Moore's Ultradomes website to learn more about Colorado Railcar's single - level and bi - level passenger cars, just click on the passenger car drawing below:
Started for the ill-fated Marlboro Unlimited, this Ultradome Mezzanine lounge car is currently being finished at the CRMX plant.
Started as Tilamook Railcar Repair and renamed Raders Railcar before moving to Colorado, this company has been actively keeping the tradition of dome cars alive with a variety of cars having been built. Aside from building Ultradome cars for Alaska land cruiselines Holland America, Princes Tours and Royal Celebrity Cruiseline they have also built glass top cars for the Alaska Railroad. (single-level and bi-level), British Columbia Railway. (single-level, to VIA Rail Canada, Florida Fun Train. (single-level and bi-level, to Alaska RR.), Rocky Mountain Railtours and the ill-fated Marlboro Unlimited. (four cars still exist despite report by Trains magazine that they were to be scrapped, see notes below). This company also has been actively involved in developing "New Age" motor cars, currently in use on Florida Tri-rail. (single-level and bi-level) with another car ordered by Rocky Mountain Railcar and the rebuilding of a variety of passenger cars for various customers. To learn more about this builder, visit Jody Moore's Ultradomes website and the Colorado Railcar website.
