On Saturday, May 22, 2010, the members in the picture above (and Joe Sacca) were able to test the new module's at Joe Sacca's neighborhood club house. Below is a photo summary.

Comments on the initial setup

"Well, talk about money well spent. The traveling layout setup went well today. We had it in the trailer and off the lot in 35 minutes. Set up took 20 minutes. We ran trains around for a few hours (broke a switch but fixed it quick). Otherwise, no serious problems. Packed up in 20 minutes and took it home. Jerry and I unloaded all by ourselves. So much easier. Now its scenery time. We also need a better way to secure the modules in their racks - ongoing consideration on this." (Robert Raymond: May 22, 2010)

Some additional improvements over the old n-trak modules include:

Standardized connections that allow for a quicker setup

Switches controlled by a magnetic n-scale figurine. This design, created by club member Kevin Loiselle, allows our club to operate at shows without spectator's accidently changing switches.
