Parry Sound, Ontario

The Town of Parry Sound acquired the CPR station and land in 1997.
Restoration began, and in 2001 it opened as the Parry Sound Station Gallery,
containing art studios and galleries. It closed Fall 2007.

VIA resumed use of part of the station for northbound Canadian
following Directional Running of CN and CP freight trains.
Southbound Canadian uses CN's station

Classical music festival established 1980 marked its 40th year in 2020.
In 2003 the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts opened.


The festival includes performances onboard the Island Queen,
a 132 foot, 475 passenger cruise ship operated by 30,000 Island Cruise Lines
that regularly cruises Georgian Bay from Parry Sound.

Festival of the Sound office located here starting in 2013.
