Remanufactured 1998-1999 ALSTOM Canada Inc. Transport
SD40-3 16-645E3 DB equipped, lead pacesetter.

These units were remanufactured for a unique shared lease. Power By the Mile was a split lease
between CN and KCS; for 40 units, as KCS 6600-6639. KCS had them for 6 months as did
CN which would get them for October -March. One side or the other didn't like the arrangements and by
December 2001, CN took 19 units (GTW 5938-5956 ex KCS 5938-5956) while KCS took 21 of them.
