opposite here, south side of John Steet east of South Station Street. 9/1953

Left sign on roof reads: Railway & Ocean Tickets & Reservations.
These would be made through the Ticket office at Union Station and tickets would be mailed
via OCS (On Company Service) for pickup. Only local destinations typically stocked. .

Weston freight shed.

Unmarked building was constructed for use by CP Telecommunications.
Located between the station and John Street, it outlasted the station by some years.

Local efforts to preserve this station were not successful.


GO Transit

Opening of the Georgetown GO train operation over the CN main line between
Toronto and Georgetown April 29, 1974 saw a small transit style station facility
located on South Station Street off John Street one short block east of Weston Road.
It was later expanded as ridership increased and eventually replaced entirely.

This facility would be demolished 9/2012 to be replaced by a bigger station just south of here
on the south side of Lawrence Avenue West at 1865 Weston Road on July 23, 2013.
