curves.

6. 8131 - 8171 January 1985 12 units to be selected for rebuild as road

Program ended for low horsepower units
This resulted in a mixing of sub-classes, thus a carefully planned way
to keep units in separate blocks was lost.
Original specifications: 8100-8130 40% t.e. 224,000 wt. 112 tons. 8131-8171
42% t.e. 233,000 116 1/2 tons
7. 8729, 8739, 8754 scrapped.
8. 8921 was not renumbered 8300.
9. 6704, 6709 sold.
10. Only two units each model rebuilt in 1984. 6700 6708 and 6712 6720.
Only four units to get m.u.
..... Program ended for low horsepower units. Most remaining given roller
bearings and overhauled when due.
11. May 1981 decision was made to add SW9's in same number series as
other 1200 hp units.
