CNR Oakville Yard 6514 and 6515 (MLW S3 #79118 6/1952) were assigned for many years to switch the Ford Motor Company automobile assembly plant (opened May 11,1953) and CNR Oakville Yard for CPR traffic. These engines were the only ones equipped with CNR radio channel. It also has a Watchman heater (note housing and stack in front of cab) to enable unit to be shutdown in cold weather without being inside a heated shop. Note too, engine is equipped for mainline running; combination pilot/footboards, illuminated front number board, classification lamps, chime air horn; all Board of Transport Commissioners requirements.
