Superior Portland Cement

1907-1913

Marl production in Ontario started with its use in portland cement in 1889. It was the only source of lime.
By 1919 limestone had completely replaced marl in the cement industry.

The plant produced 600 barrels of cement per day employing as many as 200 men.
