Greenwich, OH

Greenwich Map Link

Greenwich is located on State Route 224.  It is in the north-central part of the state, west of Medina, a little east of Willard, and south of Norwalk.  The town is small but it sees a lot of tonnage.  In addition to CSX, the Wheeling and Lake Erie is there too.  I have included views of the tracks in the photo page.  The 300mm zoom lens makes the track look much worse than it is.

The CSX lines from Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, OH and Chicago, IL intersect here. There are numerous spots on the east and west ends of Route 224 to view the action.  One of the prime locations is by the diamonds on Kniffen Street.  Cross the Akron tracks and their is room to park between them and the Cleveland line.  From here you can see everything that comes along.

The ice cream stand in town, Green Witch Subs and Sundaes, on the north side of 224, offers great hand-dipped selections during the summer (It may be open all year, I do not know.)
