Trash to Treasure Exchange The "Trash to Treasure Exchange"

Here's how it will work-

Bring a box or box lid with as much "good junk" that you are tired of looking at.
It can include anything that you know you won't use but is too neat to just throw away.
The box should be at least 11" x 4" x 1.5" ( e.g. a medium Athearn Blue Box ) or larger if you choose.
Fill it up as much as you can, and the contents can exceed the 1.5" height as much as practical and still be transportable.

Upon your depositing the box on the exchange table, you will receive two numbered coupons,
one of which you will keep and one will be deposited in "the hat" for later use.

At about 10 minutes past the meeting being adjourned, someone who forgot to bring a box will be asked to draw a coupon from the hat.
Whoever's coupon matches will be the first to select a box from the table, then draw another coupon.
Each person participating will proceed in turn selecting a box and drawing another coupon, until all but one remains.
The last person participating will be "stuck" with the remaining box, even if it's his own contribution.

This last provision is there to make sure that everyone will bring something that others will consider really good stuff.

Be creative with the selection of items to put in your box.  Out of era locomotives, shells, rolling stock is all fair game, along with structure parts, detail parts, unassembled kits---whatever.  The more likely that someone will feel that your contribution is a real treasure, the less likely that you will end up taking it home, just remember that this is for things that you probably won't use, but would be happy to find a new home for.

Have Fun!
