OCMR Tank Car Contest

March Club Meeting 4/13/08

 

Official Rules

 

1. Car must be a tank car, car can be kits, scratch built or pre-built. Remember this is a popular vote contest, so added detail and weathering counts.
2. Car must be HO or HOn3.
3. Car CAN NOT have been entered into any Club Contest before.
4. Car and load must meet NMRA Standards for weight.
• HO cars minimum weight 1oz. + ½ oz. per inch of car length
• Hon3 car minimum weight ¾ oz. + 3/8 oz. per inch of car length.
5. Couplers must meet NMRA Standards for height.
6. Car must be able to roll without pushing on a 2% grade (1/4 inch in one foot).
7. Prizes will be awarded for First, Second and Third places.

 

Note if car does not meet above standards it will only be allowed for display and will not be part of the contest.
