The show ran from May 22nd through the 26th during the Memorial Day weekend. We shared space in the Dumas Hall with several other modular railroad displays, craft displays, antique cars, and the Stater Bros. Historical display, which can be seen in the background of several of these photos.
This was the maiden voyage for Steve's "inside-outside" corner, which can also be seen in several of the photos. It can be seen in its entirety in the following shot. Steve built it using 4 modules: 2 4x4 ft corners and 2, 2x6 ft straight modules. The trackwork meanders nicely on the inside corner, and provides a lot of visual interest. We eagerly anticipate the addition of a mountain scene and Steve's planned "honeymoon" tunnels on these modules, but just watching long trains navigate the extra 180-plus degrees of curvature on the flat drew quite a lot of attention.
