This page is an introduction to the Northeast Timetable Online site, and its index page, which is largely in tabular index format, when the site has more schedules in it, there will be both a schedules index and a general index that includes routes and destinations. New to both this site and the National Timetable, routes with connecting trains enroute will have the connections listed in the body of the schedule grid itself. This site is being installed in four phases, with all of the named Amtrak trains that are Northeast Services being loaded in first, then Acela Express and Metroliners, the Regionals, and lastly, All commuter railroads (MARC, VRE, SLE, and MBTA) ... The Atlantic City NJT Service will be added in one of the earlier phases since it is isolated from other NJT routes which operate north of Trenton. At the date of a future schedule change, as will be indicated in the Timetable Update Chapter (TTU), SEPTA will be added to this site.
This is the sister timetable to Amtrak's National Timetable, which includes all routes except the Northeast Corridor routes. All of the California, Washington, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, and Florida commuter train services will be included in the National Timetable. Long Distance Amtrak Trains serving the corridor will be shown in the National Timetable only, and the Pennsylvanian schedule will be duplicated in both sites since it is run opposite the Three Rivers and both show on the same timetable.
