NORM Collection
Maintenance of Way Equipment

We have several pieces of special equipment which, while suitable for inclusion in any rail collection, are also used for construction and maintenance of track at the Museum. This collection includes a Trackmobile which performed all of the switching duties before Crane Car 0711 was operational. Some of this equipment is featured in the photos below.

This photo shows the Norfolk & Western derrick car and the tie inserter on track 1 in front of the Bennett Carhouse. (B. C. Gage)
