Bylaws:

Bylaws for the Nutfield Valley Railroad Club are as follows-

Article 1.

The concept of the Nutfield Valley Railroad Club, (henceforth referred to as "The Club".
is the enjoyment of scale model railroading by it's members in a fraternal and social
atmosphere.

Article 2.

Officers. There shall be a board of directors of five, (5) members. The directors shall
choose it's President, Vice-President, Secretary and a Treasurer. The secretary and/or
Treasurer need not to be a director. The Secretary and Treasurer shall be held by the
same member.

Article 3.

The board of directors shall meet periodically as needed. Notice of a meeting may be given
by telephone, e-mail or mail, preferably several days prior to the meeting, but meetings may
be called upon short notice if required, provided that at least three (3) directors are able to
attend the meeting. A quarrel shall consist of three (3) Directors and said quorum shall be
empowered the conduct all legal businesses of the club.

Article 4.

Vacancies. Vacancies on the board of directors shall be filled by a vote of the club
members at any regular meeting when notice o such contemplated action has been given at
least one week prior to the meeting by telephone, mail or e-mail.

Article 5.

Attendance. All members of the club are required to attend regular meetings each
Thursday, (Or in some cases Wednesday) evening. Non-Attendance at three (3)
consecutive meetings without just cause shall constitute a violation and the member shall
be assessed a $2.00 fine for each such violation, payment to be made at the next meeting
that the member attends. Non-attendance of six (6) consecutive meetings without just
cause shall be grounds for expulsion from the club. Said expulsion shall be determined and
voted by the Board of Directors,
A member shall be deemed to have a "just cause" for non-attendance due to any of the
following reactions and shall not be excluded from the club:
A. Illness.
B. Extended vacation from his/her residence.
C. Conflicting work schedule.
D. Cramming for academic studies or exams. 
E. Marriage and/or honeymoon. (!)

Article 6.

Dues. Annual (or special Assessment) dues of the club shall be determined by the club
members and so voted at any regular club meeting. The fiscal year shall be from October 1
through September 30.

Article 7.

Non-members and/or guests of the club shall be limited to attending two (2) regular
meetings, upon the invitation of a member. Further attendance shall be allowed only if said
a non-member or guest joins the club.

Article 8.

Members are guests of the club shall comport themselves in an orderly and lawful manner
at all club meetings belonging to individual members shall not be used, handled, borrowed
or operated by another member or guest without the expressed consent of the member(s)
owning the item.

Article 9.

There bylaws may be amended at any regular meetings of the club, provided notice of such
intention to amend is given at least one (1) week in advance of the meeting by telephone,
mail or e-mail.
