The Schedules have been split into two separate areas. One area is for motorcoaches, while the other is for train services. Two of the six index pages will be moved into the Thruway Buses section of the site, leaving only four indexes. All remaining pages will be renumbered accordingly. A new site has been created for the Thruway Buses to make room for more train schedules to be added. Additionally, the former "West Coast Amtrak Trains/Trains of the Nation Site" has been renamed as "National Timetable At Trainweb - Photo Collection".
New: Metrolink is introducing two new Oceanside-Riverside round-trips on the Inland Empire-Orange County Line, and one of the existing mid-day trains is being extended to San Juan Capistrano, requiring the southbound train to operate 55-70 minutes earlier. Northbound, the existing early-afternoon Irvine departure originates in San Juan Capistrano, adding a stop at Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo before assuming the present schedule at Irvine without schedule change to Riverside. Since operating into the Palmdale station in the spring, some schedules have proven to be unreliably managing their schedules. Therefore, Metrolink has fine-tuned their schedules on the affected trains, trains #205, #207, and #212, respectively.
New: Hurricane Katrina Information: The Hurricane Katrina information is now displayed on its own page, along with the "restored-to-New Orleans" Sunset Timetable. The Crescent and City of New Orleans have been returned to normal operations on October 7, 2005 and corrected timetables will be shown on the web site.
New: Trinity Railway Express timetables: A timetable update message has been prepared for the Trinity Railway Express service this time around, since there was a fairly substantial service change. The separate schedule panel displaying the transfer trains was deleted due to the fact that the transer now occurs eastbound only.
New: Los Angeles Metro opened their Orange Line Metro Liner Service, serving the San Fernando Valley and the Sepulveda Basin on October 30, 2005.
New: Eastern Amtrak Schedules included in this package. The Lake Shore Limited, which now operates as two individual trains will be shown as such in the Trainweb System Timetable. The New York-Chicago section no longer switches off cars at Albany-Rensselaer or attaches cars onto the train there. The former Boston section operates Albany-Boston only with three coaches, a cafe car, and Business Class only. The two schedules are linked in the table below: Other trains from the east included are the Cardinal, Hoosier State, Capitol Limited, Carolinian, and Piedmont. The Capitol Limited will be loaded with the Southwest Chief Schedule, since the equipment for both trains is essentiallhy run through Chicago. The former separated folder format for the Cardinal schedule is abolished. THe Sunday and Wednesday/Friday schedules have been combined, since essentially, the only difference is that they are operated 30 minutes earlier between New York City and Washington, DC. West of Washington, DC both schedules are essentially the same. Indiana has recently passed legislation that will take effect in April 2006, and will now observe Daylight Savings Time. Northern and Western counties will continue to observe Central time, as they do today, however, Eastern and Southern Counties will observe Eastern time. As appropriate, the fall timetable adjustments have been made for stations between Connersville and Lafayette, Indiana on the Cardinal and between Waterloo and South Bend on the Lake Shore Limited and Capitol Limited. The Hoosier State is included with the Cardinal Schedule since both run the same schedule Chicago to Indianapolis. THe Pennsylvanian will also be included in this package of updates. A revised Burbank Airport to Los Angeles Metrolink Timetable is also included in the Rail-2-Rail program area.
