N SCALE TROLLEYS AND PARTS

This is a list of N-gauge cast resin trolley shells, as well as related accessories formerly produced and sold by Miniatures by Eric, about 2009-2011. My additional comments, including the best-fitting currently available power chassis, are in square brackets below. - R. D. Kerr


NTK1 NT-K1 PE 1000 CLASS
The kit contains a one piece resin body, 14 brass castings. The kit does not include drive, poles, trucks. The picture is of a finished model.
[Pacific Electric coaches 1030-1037 (Jewett 1913); plans in "Interurbans Special #36", p. 281; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-22.]

NTK2 NT-K2 PE 1360
The kit contains a one piece resin body, 14 brass castings, and a resin floor to fit a Tomytec drive.
[Pacific Electric combines 1360-1363 (Jewett 1913); plans in "Model Railroader" August 1971; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-22.]

NTK3 NT-K3 INTERURBAN TROLLEY
The kit contains a one piece resin body to fit a Bachmann Brill trolley. Sideframes are included. It is oversized to fit the Bachmann drive.
[Freelance model; recommended chassis: Bachmann Brill or Tomytec TM-TR01.]

NTK4 NT-K4 PE HOLLYWOOD CAR
The kit contains a one piece resin body, roof detail, Micro-Scale decals for the stripes.

NTK5 NT-K5 CLRV
Contains a one piece resin body, roof detail, vac formed front and back windows.
[Toronto Transportation Commission Canadian Light Rail Vehicle; plans in "Traction and Models" December 1979; recommended chassis: modified Bachmann PCC or Tomytec TM-TR04.]

NTK6 NT-K6 PE 1100
The body kit has a one piece resin body, steps, pilots. Decals are extra and are listed as NTD2 (stripes) and NTD1 (numbering).

NTK7 NT-K7 NS 737-776
North Shore series Series 737-776 came in two batches. 737-751 came in 1928 from Pullman. These were the first to have bathrooms. Series 752-776 were the last and largest. Built in 1930, they ran for 35 years. Contains a one piece resin body, brass pilots, steps.
[Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee (Pullman 1928); plans in "Traction Planbook (1st Ed.); recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-21. The three North Shore shells scale out a bit small.]

NTK8 NT-K8 MONONGAHELA WEST PENN P. S. CO.
This is car #250. It is a body kit and comes with the resin body and pilot.
[Series 248-254 even numbers (Jewett 1908); 250 preserved at Shore Line Trolley Museum; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-TR04.]

NTK9 NT-K9 LSR #151
The model is of a Lake Shore Electric Railway #151 wood car. Body kit contains a one piece resin body shell and steps.
[Combines 150-159 (Niles 1906); plans in "Traction Planbook" (1st Ed.), p. 36-37; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-21.]

NTK10 NT-K10 PE #500
The model is a one piece resin body of a Pacific Electric #500 car. Also has steps.
[Cars 500-549 (St. Louis 1902, 1910); plans in "Interurbans Special #128, p. 171, 173; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-TR01.]

NTK11 NT-K11 PE 1452 BOXMOTOR
The body kit is of a PE 1452 wood boxmotor. Included with this kit is the pilots, lights, bells, steps. The drive, trucks, poles are not included with the kit. The picture is of a finished model.

NTK12 NT-K12 PE BLIMP BOXMOTOR
Resin body kit of a PE boxmotor class 1445-1449. Included with the resin body are the brass details like steps, pilots, light, bells. The drive, trolley poles and trucks are not included. The picture is of a finished model.

NTK13 NT-K13 PE 1252-1263 BLIMP
The resin body kit is of a PE 1252 - PE 1263 class Blimp coach. The kit includes steps, pilots, light, bells. The kit does not include drive, poles, trucks. The picture is of a finished model and not the kit.

NTK14 NT-K14 NS SILVERLINER CARS
In the Highwoods shop in the 1950s 30 steel cars in the 700 series were modernized with [faux] steel fluted siding and were named SILVERLINERS. The body kit comes with a one piece resin body, steps, pilots.
[Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee; model came with either fluted or flat (corrected) side panels; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-21.]

NTK15 NT-K15 MELBOURNE W6
There were approximately 765 W class trams built from 1923 - 1956. The body kit has a one piece resin body, truck sideframes, lights.

NTK16 NT-K16 SHORE LINE
[Lake Shore Electric Railway #169 (Jewett); model came either with or without (corrected) a door and step at the motorman's left front cab area; came with decals; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-10.]

NTK17 NT-K17 PETER WITT
One piece plastic shell of a Milan (Italy) Peter Witt trolley.
[Three-door single-end Peter Witt version with doors at front, center and rear of right side; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-TR01.]

Two Door Peter Witt TWO DOOR PETER WITT
[Unnumbered resin shell of a Peter Witt trolley, single end with doors at front and center (not rear) of right side; different window arrangement than NT-K17; recommended chassis: Tomytec TM-TR01.]

MBTA PCC MBTA PCC
[Unnumbered resin shell of a Metropolitan Boston Transporation Authority (Boston) PCC car, with left "off-side" door and long roof duct; recommended chassis: Bachmann PCC or Tomytec TM-TR04.]

Dallas MBTA PCC DALLAS / MBTA PCC
[Unnumbered resin shell of a Dallas double-ended PCC car, which was later operated second-hand by the MBTA in Boston; recommended chassis: Bachmann PCC or Tomytec TM-TR04.]

These are Micro-Scale #60-563 N scale decals.
