About This Site:
Now, I'm sure you are wondering... Mountain Crossing, that must mean Cascades, Rockies, Tehachapi, etc, no, well, not fully. Anything that travels over a 1% grade, let it be long or short will most likily find it's way onto this website. I have always been fasinated by trains, grinding and struggling to beat the hill, the crew hoping they don't stall just before summit. All things such as this amazes me that something so big and heavy can do so much. Thus, the creation of this website. Since I live in Seattle, Washington, hills are very common, while I haven't had to much time lately to do any sort of railfanning due to school and work, my previous adventures have sparked something new, which honestly, surprised myself since I like High Speed Rail such as the TGV, Eurostar, Acela and Maglev trains. While I also have a passion for freight railroading, now more-so-then-ever, Commuter, Passenger, Monorail, and Light Rail is still at the top of my list. My other website - Evergreen Tracks; will be revamped after I offically start this website. If you visit that website, you may see an "Under Construction" instead of the current home page. I hope to start learning Macromedia Flash in the future for this and all future websites I have.
