Munson, Ohio - Cleveland & Eastern Bridge
Upper Chagrin River
This covered bridge carries the Interurban Trail across the Chagrin River at The Rookery park. It is built on the original footings and steel spans of the single track interurban bridge constructed by the Cleveland & Eastern over a century ago. Unlike many other bridges from that era, this structure survived because the isolation of the area made it impractical to salvage for scrap metal during World War II.
