KANSAS… NOW IS THE TIME TO SAVE
The Bush Administration has targeted the Southwest Chief as one of the trains it would like to discontinue. Amtrak president David Gunn says if Amtrak doesn’t receive full funding, all Amtrak trains will stop running.
This route is important, providing intercity transportation services for the people of Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. Tourism, the elderly, the young, the disabled, and those who simply choose to travel by train benefit from this service
Please write your elected officials and remind them how important the Southwest Chief is to Kansas .
Tell them to save this valuable travel alternative. |
