| The Bush Administration has targeted this country’s long-distance trains. Amtrak president David Gunn says if Amtrak doesn’t receive full funding, all Amtrak trains will stop running.
The California Zephyr is a popular route providing Nebraskans travel connections to the East, Rocky Mountain states and the West Coast. Tourism, the elderly, the disabled, the young, college students, and those who simply choose to travel by train benefit from intercity passenger train service.
