Help save the Southwest Chief

The Bush Administration has targeted the Southwest Chief as one of the trains it would like to discontinue. Amtrak president David Gunn says if Amtrak doesn’t receive full funding, all Amtrak trains will stop running.

This popular route is important as it provides intercity transportation services for the people of Missouri and Kansas.

Tourism, the elderly, the disabled, the young, college students, and those who simply choose to travel by train benefit from intercity passenger train service.

Please write your elected officials and remind them how important Amtrak service is to you.

Tell your representatives to save this valuable travel alternative.
