One of the most famous exploits of the Milwaukee bi-polars were “tugs-of-war” staged to show the tremendous tractive effort and regenerative braking powers of these electric locomotives. The test shown here was conducted on one of the high bridges in Snoqualmie Pass on the railroad’s Coast Division - about 1925.
