This site is a showcase of some of my photographs. Yes, I take pictures of trains. Why, I don't know other than to say that they hold a certain fascination for me. That's not all that I take pictures of, but it is where I get the most enjoyment. Too bad that I can't get out to shoot much anymore, what with school and all the other trials of life.

My equipment is all Nikon; a pair of F3 body's with matching MD-4 motor drives. With those I use a total of seven fixed lenses, no zoom lens for me. I only use Kodachrome 64 colour-slide film. Have experimented with K-25, but I stick with K-64 for it's overall versatility. I just love the quality and sharpness that the combination of equipment and film provide. The standard exposure I use is f5.6 @ 500, but I'll certainly use another if required.

I guess that it is pretty obvious that I'm a CN fan. Not that I have anything against CP or any other RR, but like most RR fans I have a favorite road. Grew-up watching CP's 1800's, 4200's, 4500's, and 4700's at Agincourt yard here in Scarborough, Ontario. Love those ALCO's, but was not smart enough at eight to think of shooting them! Oh well, to me CP doesn't seem quite the same without them. Yeah, I know that CN got rid of their ALCO's too, but I never took the time to watch them (actually, my Dad never wanted to watch CN), and at that age there is only so far you can ride your bike.

I hope you enjoy your visit to my little piece of the web!

Taking a break from a day of clearing brush, the gang (Jim Mumford, John Reay, Gary Zuters, and myself) watch as CPR #923 rolls through Newtonville. That's me unwittingly posing for the camera.
