I visited the West Virginia Central's shops in Belington, W.Va., where the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad's New Tygart Flyer excursion train is also based. Here is the D&GV's Western Maryland Alco FA.
The WVC has a nice collection of maintenance-of-way equipment, including this Fairmont speeder.
Before long, the excursion train arrived from Elkins with Western Maryland F7A 67 and BL2 82 for power.
The unmistakable lines of the BL2 are visible through the steam from the brake shoes.
The street alongside the station in Belington is appropriately named W.V.C. Railroad Avenue.
Passengers alight at the depot.
On the way to Cass the following day, I spotted this little switch engine in Durbin, W.Va., on another segment of the D&GV.
