The Union Pacific Railroad is now the largest common carrier railroad in the nation.
It is also the only railroad in existence today that has never in its entire history changed its name
Union Pacific has a very sizable presence in the Kansas City area. The ever popular Maryville subdivision
ends here after its run across the Kansas plains.
Union Pacific also maintains the Centennial Yard in Fort Worth, Texas.
