The Kansas City area is a great place to be a railfan.
Several of the major railroads have maintainence facilities and heavily used mainlines through the area.
The heaviest traffic comes from the Union Pacific, Burlington Northern Sante Fe, and Kansas City Southern
Railroads. However, Norfolk Southern, Gateway Western, and the Illinois Montana RailLink are also common
to this area.
While the majority of the prototype photos will be from in and around Kansas City, there are also pictures from
Fort Worth, Texas and St. Louis, Missouri.
On this site, you will see not only photographs of the real thing but also pictures from the model
railroad hobby as well. There are several modular clubs in the area in several scales. The club pictures that
will be on this page will be from the Eastern Jackson County Mainliners.
EJCM is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the fun of model railroading to one & all.
At long last I've recovered my slides from Fort Worth, Texas. Added 10 pictures from that series.
Enjoy yourself and if you're chasin' trains, play it safe and don't be racin' trains.
