Trains all day long. Amtrak has 4 daily trains west of the station and 30 east of the station (M-F), with half that number on weekends.

Harrisburg was a major hub for the Pennsylvania and Reading railroads. After Conrail it passed to Norfolk Southern. Enola Yard is once again a working yard and stretches along US 11 south of I-81 along the west bank of the Susquehanna River NW of downtown Harrisburg.
