Other Information

Police: There is a tower operator present 24 hours a day, if its even still standing. You can get great shots from along the tracks or by staying close to the tower, but don't wander. The friendly tower operator when we were there asked us to come on up and take some shots.

Safety: The area is OK during the day (I also had at least one railfanning buddy along). But I wouldn't hang around at all at night. It's a somewhat secluded spot and Chicago is a big city.
