Genesis locos at South Hampton
This collection of pictures is made up of of Genesis units---P40 809 and P42 19 which were the locmotives used on that days Lake Shore Ltd.-- note- that day a MBTA F40 was lined up to be shuttled to Albany for intallation of ditchlights and other services.
Above is a shot of the P40's engine visible behind the exhaust stack.
Above is a shot of what used to be the holster cab on P40 809. Amtrak welded shut the control panel of the holster cab, which was designed for "easy backup" of the loco in yards.
