The Lake Shore Limited nos 48/448 approaching the East Syracuse station seen from a highway overpass in October of 1996.
At this date, the consist was F40 217 lead, 266 trailing, Boston section: Baggage, 10/6 Sleeper, 3 Amfleet II Coaches, NYC section: Amfleet II Lounge, Diner, 3 Amfleet II Coaches, 3 Viewliners (usually 2, but shuttling a third--no need for a Baggage Dorm that day), and lastly 6 MHC cars.
