193 being rebuilt
193 undergoing a rebuild in Wilmington, DE. Addition of ditchlights on both ends
along with a red strobe are some of the visible charateristics. Wilmington rebuilt
the 192, 193 and 199 and decided to take the front plates off of these locomotives
for the addition of thte ditch lights. I am lucky to own the front plate of the
192, but wish they kept them on there like Beech Grove and Rensselaer did on the
other GP40Hs. 193 also received its 9 aspect cab signal at this time. Spring 1999.
