Here is where the ink is added to the stamp. In each one of these pans there is a thin piece of metal called a plate. This metal has been etched with the design that is wanted on the car. Then ink is smeared over the plate and then a squeegee is pulled over the top of the plate, leaving only ink left where the plate is etched. The stamp then presses onto the plate where the ink sticks to it. The stamp then pushes onto the car leaving the lettering. This machine was set up for white, blue, yellow, and gold. The whole process took less than 30 seconds per car.
