Passenger Flat #827

McCloud, CA, 5/2003. The #827 was one of two flatcars converted from maintenance-of-way work to passenger service during the spring of 1995. At one point it had seats salvaged from a local theatre lining it’s deck, but the seats have since been removed. The car is usually assigned to the dinner train during the summer months.

During the third week of June 2006 the railroad repainted the #827 a dark green color to make it fit in with the rest of the dinner train set.

#827 in August 2010, shortly before the railroad scrapped the car.

The #827 rode on trucks salvaged at some point from Oregon, California & Eastern #2018, a 40-foot flatcar.
