The Lakin station sign, looking west. The spur switch is near the end of the straight stretch down the tracks, and the spur parallels the mainline running towards the sign. The spur ends in the brush to the right of the sign; at one time it connected back with the mainline on this side of the sign, forming a double ended siding.
