The Strasburg Railroad in southeastern Pennsylvania played host to the famed Norfolk & Western 611, a 4-8-4 built in the N&W's Roanoke, Va. shops in 1950 as one of the last mainline steam locomotives built in the U.S. The Strasburg, a short line whose charter dates back to 1832, hosted the Northern for five weekends in September and October 2019. It is shown here Oct. 12, 2019 between runs on the "Road To Paradise", as the Strasburg is known.
