During the week of 27 December 1999, I spotted a bi-level control cab car at Union Station in Washington
DC. The car was spotted by the old turntable along with several standard MARC coaches and Amfleet cars.
When I managed to return the next day with my camera, a GP40WH-2 was idling directly in front of it,
so I was not able to get a picture. Railpace magazine has continued to print photos of these cars
as they near completion at the factory, and I would expect to see them enter service within the next few
months. I assume the cab car at Union Station is there for either testing or display, and I will post
further updates as soon as I learn more.
