Last Through Train on the BNSF Harbor Sub, April 14, 2002.
After the conductor "bends the iron" for the siding, the engineer moves the train through the switch, following the conductor's hand signals. The conductor's signal lamp moves in a pattern railroad men have used for over a century as the train prepares to depart for Watson Yard, bringing an end to nearly eighty years of through traffic on this historic line.
