I
hope that you have all recovered from the enforced over eating of all
things chocolate this Easter and are ready to work off all those excess
calories with some serious work in the garden. I'm looking for
volunteers to do that for me, as I for one do not like chocolate or exercise myself
!
The
country ladies that received a personal pack from your generous
donations were greatly received. A big thank you to the ladies
who responded generously. We managed to put together some 35
packs in total. Further donations are still being accepted and it is
hoped that we can continue this worthy cause for the foreseeable future.
Well with the AGM over for the year it is back to playing trains this weekend, so don't forget our Club Day this weekend will be held in Moss Vale and for those Members that
intend to go, I look forward to seeing you there. As always please remember to
bring your chair, cup and plate with afternoon tea.
Anyone interested in making it a big day, then the Rails in the Garden
members are having a run day at Thirlmere from 0900 to 1600 hours
(check out the details on their webpage, to find them just click on
their name above or follow their link on our Links page).
Most
of the latest shipment of Club Rail has already found itself a home, so
if you forgot to put an order in then please contact our Secretary
as you still might be in luck. The Club managed to keep the
price
the same as the last batch, which is still great value at $18 per 12' length but
the copper market has won and future shipments may no longer to be this cheap again. Stop press, another 200kg just arrived unannounced!
New Members are always welcome - please
contact our Secretary.
