Vandals strike tower and tag fencing with graffiti at Kingston StationJack@McCabe.net photos Re: Vandalism: Jack McCabe drove by the tower on 9.07.02 at about 4pm and noticed the window pealed back on the western [ track side ], a few minutes later he reported it to two South Kingstown Police officers who were patrolling the South County, [ O'Neill ], bike path nearby. The officiers were aware of the damage and had known of it for at least two weeks. Robert Newman of R. A. Newman Co., and an Operation Lifesaver associate for RI, informed Jack, who is the RI Coordinator that the track two fencing had been recently tagged as well. Robert [Bob], and Jack repaired the tower window and resprayed over the graffiti with black paint on Sunday afternoon just before 4pm on 9.08.02. After painting the fence Bob and Jack requested that the Agent on duty, Gary Asciolla, make a note of everything in the log book. The shuttlebus driver informed us at that time that someone had put the parking cone on top of the bus and made some cuts in the back tire sometime after 12am and before 5am the night before. |
