Given below is a list of liveries used by the IR on its various trains...more to follow...

This is the standard Vacuum-Brake livery that was used by IR on all its Mail/Express trains, except the Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and the Deccan Queen.

A handful of existing VB trains on IR are the Dadar-Bareilly Express (also known as Allah-Hazrat Express), Dhanbad-Alleppey Express and the Sabarmati Express

This is the standard Air-Brake livery that was used by IR on all its Mail/Express trains, except the Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and the Deccan Queen.

Today, many of the CR standard day trains like the Sinhagad Express, Indrayani Express, Deccan Express, Intercity Express and the Pragati Express with a handful of the '04' series of these coaches.

These new '04' series coaches are the new ones rolled out by the Integral Coach Factory - Kapurthala, and have received a mixed response from commuter organizations.

This livery was used by CR, on its standard day trains, in the late 90's. Some of the coaches, (if not all) of trains like the Indrayani Express etc.

However, this is a standard livery of all the WDS4 shunters homes at the CLA (Kurla) Diesel Shed in Bombay.

This is CR's standard day train livery, assigned to trains such as the Deccan Queen, Pragati Express, Sinhagad Express, Indrayani Express, Deccan Express, Intercity Express, Panchvati Express and the Taj Express.

Today, we can still spot some of these liveried coaches on the Koyna Express, and other south- bound trains out of Mumbai, and even the odd KR train.

This is the Rajdhani Express livery, which is applicable to all the Rajdhani Expresses that run on IR.

The IR runs the Rajdhani Express service from various nooks and corners of the country to the capital - New Delhi. These trains are prestigious trains, and are fully Air-Conditioned.

It is a very common sight to see a Rajdhani Express running with a Shatabdi EOG (End-On-Generator) van.

The IR has incorporated new LHB coaches from GEC Alsthom into its rolling stock, and has allotted a rake for the BCT-NDLS August Kranti Rajdhani Express, the livery of which shall be put up soon.

This is the Shatabdi Express livery, which is applicable to all the Shatabdi Expresses on IR.

Conceptually started by IR, when it turned 100...Shatabdi means Century...which is 100!!! Like the Rajdhani Expresses, the Shatabdi's too are prestigious trains, and are fully Air-Conditioned.

It is a very common sight to see a Shatabdi Express running with a Rajdhani EOG (End-On-Generator) van.

The IR has incorporated new LHB coaches from GEC Alsthom into its rolling stock, and has allotted a rake for the LKO-NDLS Shatabdi Express, the livery of which shall be put up soon.

A livery very strikingly similar to that of the Shatabdi Express livery, this is the livery for the Karnavati Express that runs between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on the WR.

Instead of boards to depict the route and coach/bogie, this train has got its route and coach/bogie numbers painted on the outside, within the limits of the board's placeholder.

Again a livery very strikingly similar to today's Air-Braked coaches, except for the red line below the window. Coaches of this livery used to initially ply on the KR. Now, all trains on the have a IR-standard Air-braked livery coach, with the exception of a Deccan Queen-liveried coach.

In fact coaches that ply on KR have the following stenciled: "To Ply On Konkan Railway Only."

This is the JanShatabdi Express livery, which is applicable to all the JanShatabdi Expresses on IR. The JanShatabdi is a more cheaper version of the normal Shatabdi Express.
This livery is an ideal mix-n-match of the Air-Brake and the Vacuum-Brake stock. A handful of Sleeper coaches and the 'Motor and Parcel Van' coaches are in this livery.
This is the livery of the Deccan Queen. It was also known as the Ambulance train due to this livery. There was always a matching liveried loco hauling the Deccan Queen. The 2 2nd class coaches for the MST were Double Decker coaches, and the Sinhagad Express was a fully Double Decker train then.
This new livery has been on display for EOGs on some Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains.
