Kenosha Transit's fourth PCC streetcar

Moving on

Pittsburgh car parades westBy November, 2000 the Kenosha Transit clan of drivers and staff adapted somewhat to the untimely death three months prior of Joe McCarthy, KT director and originator of the PCC concept for Harborpark. Their sense of emptiness is rather like the unadorned surroundings evident in this photo.

Bright white and red colors, once familiar to Pittsburgh riders, gleam from PCC 4609 as it approaches its starting point at the curb of 54th Street, south of the streetcar barn along Eighth Avenue.
