Juniata & Southern (JS) is a fictitious shortline railroad operating near the Juniata River in South Central, PA in the Fall of 1949. The railroad is possibly a sister company to the nearby East Broad Top. JS serves several key local industries along its 18.4 mi. route. The terminus is a sizable interchange with the PRR Middle Division near on the Juniata River.
Modeling fans will agree that there is significant history and tremendous modeling opportunity in this picturesque part of Pennsylvania. What helps greatly is the plethora of photographs, magazines, books, and internet articles dedicated to this geographic area and period to help inspire modeling efforts.
